You are in a vast room, vast enough so that what happens over here won't necessarily disturb what's happening over there, with a couple of semi-screened areas for semi-privacy and all the pillows and blankets and soft (or bouncy) sleeping surfaces you could ever want. Refreshments and entertainments provided by your dear friends at End of Line and Alan's popcorn machine. A movie screen or two. Stuffed animals (what is that one with all the tentacles anyway?). Your choice of sleepwear. Whatever else you'd take with you to a slumber party. And you get to share all of this with everyone else on the Grid.

Clearly this will be the best night EVER.

This meme is safe. Like, really safe. Highest level of physical harm that can happen in this area is shoving someone or getting whacked with a pillow; anyone who attempts harmful physical contact (including unwanted disc meddling, I'M LOOKIN' AT YOU, CLU~) is quantum-teleported out of reach before the harm can happen, ~as many times as it takes~ for the message to sink in, and everyone goes in fully aware of this. Viruses and glitches are contained in a hamster ball quantum sphere which suppresses their infectious capabilities; such spheres can merge with other spheres, and non-viruses can go in and out of them at will (and only perceive a mild static sensation if a virus tries to infect them).

Which makes this a good place to thread with folks your characters don't often get an IC chance to thread with.

Roy tucked a pillow beneath his elbows and kicked his bare feet up behind him, looking around to make sure he had everyone's attention.

"Okay," he began. "This is a story about...."

..but he couldn't just go with the regular version, could he? There'd be too many pauses and interruptions as the programs tried to make sense of all the User terms and tropes.

A slow smirk crept across his face and he continued without batting an eye.

"This is a story about a young data-pusher who lived in a server farm in a system far, far away....."

Anon leaned comfortably against the wall, sitting on a cushion with both long legs sprawled out in front of him. He wanted to find out what this odd User concept of 'storytime' was, and so far he was enjoying it.

He tilted his helmet-masked head at Roy, listening as the User began the story.

[What's actually in the middle of a fort made out of pillows and blankets (there were so many around it was a shame not to use them) studding a silver box. inside of said box there's a large variety of nail polish, eyeliners, and just a lot of make up. Ram likes the colors but he's wondering what are those for.]

Well. Now there's a tube of white paint, and some glitter streaked all over his Katamari ball. Not sure about the glitter, honestly.

Oh, and a two bottles of pink, and purple nail polish are now stuck to the ball, along with some pillows ganked from the pillow fort. Collecting stuff is fun!

Ram's trying to keep up with the conversation, but finally has to admit to himself that he's missing bits, his processes slowly creeping toward critical morass. But the conversation's been great, and he's about split his sides laughing at some of the things his friends were saying, and everything's warm and happy and he doesn't want to miss any of it. Surely it won't hurt if he just rolls over on his stomach and props his chin on his hand instead of sitting up straight... it's not like he's going to shut his eyes or anything. Much.

One of the screens has a few of the latest-generation systems hooked up to it and there are a pile of controllers and brightly-colored boxes next to it.

Tron seems to have discovered a game involving a lot of very loud nonsensical music and colors and rolling things up. It's surprisingly entrancing. Confusing as anything, but it's so easy and why is the King not ever satisfied?

((Tron has discovered Beautiful Katamari. The Games Arena should totally be upgraded for this, man. :D))

Watching Tron play a video game is hilarious. And odd. Sam's kicking back against a pile of pillows just watching for now. He's more into the shooter games, anyway.

Lizor's wanderings around the party was momentarily paused while he became distracted by the sounds coming from one of the spots where one of the large vid screens was located. Standing behind the seats and pillows while leaning on his baton staff - he sipped at his drink without much visible reaction, though that in itself was normal for him.

True to form, Dolly was making sure everyone had refreshments, it was just in her nature and she couldn't not do so. She was everywhere at one point or another, dispensing drinks and snacks to all assembled.

Lizor had come to the User termed 'slumber party' with Aadi and was currently using her location as a marker to orient himself. Currently he was content to prowl the outskirts silently, not really participating in any particular activity but observing instead. More accurately: listening.

Thankfully - the amount of programs around was able to give him an accurate map of where to step. Random furniture, blanket forts or pillow piles? Not so much. For that, he had his baton handy - extended out into a staff. In his other hand - he held a glass of glowing energy, some of the stronger stuff from the EoL.

Okay this was pretty awesome! He had been intrigued by this slumber party User tradition of some sort, and so came down without any hesitation to have fun and get a chance to meet new friends, and catch up with old ones.

Currently however, he was scratching his head in the space where an interesting smell was coming from. Apparently this was where a User food named popcorn was made? How interesting!

Kweri was carefully arranging pillows in a huge pile next to one of the comfy large beds that had been arranged around the space. She was meticulous - arranging them just so. At first glance, it wasn't certain if she was making a pillow sculpture, or a nest to sleep in, or a fort.

In fact, she was doing something A LOT more fun. Once this was set up, this was going to be amazing. She had a grin on her face and would giggle once in a while if one of the pillows fell off, or if she imagined what would happen once she implemented her plan.

Rinzler's not really sure what he's doing here. Or why. Or what those programs are doing. No. Really. What. But at some point, somehow, someone had mentioned combat.

'Pillow Combat'. Or. Well. Fight. Whatever. It took relatively little effort to obtain a pair of the devices. There seemed to be more than a few programs—and glitches ISOs—stockpiling the things. Though they seemed even less suitable for construction than battle.

...no. Really. What were their functions?

Still. This was srs bizness combat. Or possibly a Game. (Same thing.) And the enforcer wouldn't lose. He just needed to... figure things out.

...Rinzler will just be... over here. Rumbling somewhat dubiously at these floppy things.

It's not a slumber party without a pillow fight! And how many times in her life was Livian ever going to have a chance to get the drop on Rinzler? Answer? Never.

She chucked a pillow shaped like a ladybug at Rinzler's head as hard as she could and dove for cover in a pile of plushies, clutching her back-up pillow to her chest. Hopefully her bunny slippers would provide camouflage.

Safe place or not, Yori will just be patrolling the area and listening for sounds of trouble. Certain programs can do plenty of damage, even limited to words. She intends to interfere wherever necessary.

But it's nice to see the smiles, to see her friends relaxing.

As long as he was here, and there was plenty of room, and he apparently had all the equipment he needed...Clu spent some time setting up one of the more enclosed areas for a modern 3D projector and the educational videos he'd promised Krypton.

Seemed like everything was 3D these days, or tried to be, but the experience was much more complete inside a system. He should probably put up some kind of warning about potential nausea for the Earth-born who weren't used to it.

It gave him something to do besides wonder uneasily what his alternate had done to every new face he noticed.

And if the dry, factual description of what Earth was like, meant for code-born, gave a little more evidence toward his own world being different from theirs, all to the good. Assuming anyone would trust him enough to come into the dark, semi-enclosed area.

Clu sighed and went looking for Krypton. Maybe Flynn, too.

Ooooh and the fuzz of the picture meant 3D. Hopefully not the cheap kind of effects that Hollywood slapped in to justify the extra five bucks on the ticket. She went looking for the glasses.

Kade had found the biggest pile of pillows he could, most of which were shaped like neutral Bits, ranging in size from nearly big enough to sleep on, to just the right size for flinging across the room. Flopping down in the center, he scattered a few around him, grabbing a medium one to curl around as he nearly disappeared into the pile. Oh yeah, this was great.

Kicking his feet, he dislodged a few of the pillows, sending them flying in random directions.

Pillow pile = best pile!

Some of those bit pillows were, in fact, actual bits, now buzzing in aggravation over having their nest disturbed. They didn't swarm him, not really, but they did orbit around where he'd vanished into the heap, bouncing 'no's back and forth between themselves.

Thela, who was perched on a cushion nearby, mostly just watching the goings-on, sighed: "Play nice." It was fairly obvious that she was chiding them and not him, though if he couldn't see her, it might be more difficult to tell.

Jalen's been happily occupied at the table, building an increasingly tall and intricate tower out of empty cups, when he notices movement from below him. He cranes down (waaaay down) to see what's going on down there and is utterly boggled to see Gibson, sitting crosslegged underneath the table and munching cheerfully on snacks.

"...Gibson? What in blazes are you doing down there?"

In any case, there was another mostly-pillow fort over in one corner of the room, more of a tent, really, with walls and ceiling made of blankets pulled tight between the two walls, suspended from the ceiling to drape properly, but shored up here and there with cushions.
