Refreshments and entertainments provided by your dear friends at End of Line and Alan's popcorn machine. A movie screen or two. Stuffed animals (what is that one with all the tentacles anyway?). Your choice of sleepwear. Whatever else you'd take with you to a slumber party. And you get to share all of this with everyone else on the Grid.

Clearly this will be the best night EVER.

This meme is safe. Like, really safe. Highest level of physical harm that can happen in this area is shoving someone or getting whacked with a pillow; anyone who attempts harmful physical contact (including unwanted disc meddling, I'M LOOKIN' AT YOU, CLU~) is quantum-teleported out of reach before the harm can happen, ~as many times as it takes~ for the message to sink in, and everyone goes in fully aware of this. Viruses and glitches are contained in a hamster ball quantum sphere which suppresses their infectious capabilities; such spheres can merge with other spheres, and non-viruses can go in and out of them at will (and only perceive a mild static sensation if a virus tries to infect them).

Which makes this a good place to thread with folks your characters don't often get an IC chance to thread with.

Roy tucked a pillow beneath his elbows and kicked his bare feet up behind him, looking around to make sure he had everyone's attention.

"Okay," he began. "This is a story about...."

..but he couldn't just go with the regular version, could he? There'd be too many pauses and interruptions as the programs tried to make sense of all the User terms and tropes.

A slow smirk crept across his face and he continued without batting an eye.

"This is a story about a young data-pusher who lived in a server farm in a system far, far away....."

Anon leaned comfortably against the wall, sitting on a cushion with both long legs sprawled out in front of him. He wanted to find out what this odd User concept of 'storytime' was, and so far he was enjoying it.

[What's actually in the middle of a fort made out of pillows and blankets (there were so many around it was a shame not to use them) studding a silver box. inside of said box there's a large variety of nail polish, eyeliners, and just a lot of make up. Ram likes the colors but he's wondering what are those for.]

All those marathon movie sessions with Eric were coming in pretty handy now. Roy was a Trekkie, would be forever, but some things were just classic.

Ram's trying to keep up with the conversation, but finally has to admit to himself that he's missing bits, his processes slowly creeping toward critical morass. But the conversation's been great, and he's about split his sides laughing at some of the things his friends were saying, and everything's warm and happy and he doesn't want to miss any of it. Surely it won't hurt if he just rolls over on his stomach and props his chin on his hand instead of sitting up straight... it's not like he's going to shut his eyes or anything. Much.

One of the screens has a few of the latest-generation systems hooked up to it and there are a pile of controllers and brightly-colored boxes next to it.

Tron seems to have discovered a game involving a lot of very loud nonsensical music and colors and rolling things up. It's surprisingly entrancing. Confusing as anything, but it's so easy and why is the King not ever satisfied?

((Tron has discovered Beautiful Katamari. The Games Arena should totally be upgraded for this, man. :D))

Watching Tron play a video game is hilarious. And odd. Sam's kicking back against a pile of pillows just watching for now. He's more into the shooter games, anyway.

At first, Roy's a little self-conscious about having the Gridcritters snuggled up around him like this. This isn't a Disney cartoon, darnit! But one of them's Ram and the other one... well, let's just say he feels honored by the kitten's show of trust. He curls a comforting hand under Ram's chin and pets the Rinzlerkitty gently as he goes on with the tale.

He'd narrowly avoided making Leia an ISO princess; that would have added a bad sociological undercurrent to the story. Instead she's a courier program, bravely facing down the tall, menacing figure in black. He'd weave the ISOs in later, as fellow rebels fighting alongside the programs, differences unimportant to the solidarity they share.

"'Lord Vector, I should have known.....'"
