We all love our characters, even if we sometimes take a great deal of glee in dropping small mountains on them. Thus this meme, where they can hugpile and cuddle to their hearts' content.

You are in a vast room that seems somehow familiar to anyone who was around for the slumber party. Things that happen over here won't necessarily disturb what's happening over there, with a couple of semi-screened areas for semi-privacy and all the pillows and blankets and soft (or bouncy) surfaces you could ever want. Refreshments are available - energy drinks, Livian's candy, Roy's popcorn, and whatever else you'd like to dream up. There are even some cuddly toys left over from the slumber party and the octopus is still here.

When starting a thread, put what you're doing, who's involved, and any warnings in the subject line (e.g. 'Pillow fortress || OTA || tooth-rotting fluff'.) Also use the subject line in case a thread develops in such a way that new warnings are needed.

Continuity is variable, and likely unique to each thread. What happens in-meme stays in-meme unless you want it to apply somewhere else, and snuggling up in the Rinzlerpile doesn't mean you can't also snuggle in the Userpile somewhere else.

This meme is safe. Like, really safe. Highest level of physical harm that can happen in this area is shoving someone or getting whacked with a pillow; anyone who attempts harmful physical contact (including unwanted disc meddling, I'M LOOKIN' AT YOU, CLU~) is quantum-teleported out of reach before the harm can happen, ~as many times as it takes~ for the message to sink in, and everyone goes in fully aware of this. Viruses and glitches are contained in a katamari ball quantum sphere which suppresses their infectious capabilities; such spheres can merge with other spheres, and non-viruses can go in and out of them at will (and only perceive a mild static sensation if a virus tries to infect them).

Which makes this a good place to thread with folks your characters don't often get an IC chance to thread with.

Of course common rp courtesy applies here -- no godmodding, be mindful of one anothers' comfort levels, warn as needed, ask if uncertain of something, etc. Which we all do because we're awesome.~~

Yup. I'm not sure if they even knew what their aim was, though.

Anyway, nice to meet you; name's Clu. And not the one you may have heard about, just so you know.

[Bitty stops squeaking in surprise and hovers there for a micro.]

[Only the curly-haired swimming program has ever pinged it. How strange. A moment's more hovering, and it sinks back over to a blanket to alight and ponder this weirdness.

Dumont, meanwhile, nods and gives Clu a smile. Suspicious, but not for the name and resemblance.]

I've heard no rumors concerning a program named Clu, though I will take your word if I do. You look somewhat familiar to me, however. Didn't I chase you out of a memory archive once?

[Yes, Hacker, have all the side-eye for your prior server infiltrations.]

[Clu pauses a moment and thinks about that.]

Hmmm... Another version of me, maybe. [shrugs] Given the number different systems that this Grid is connected to, duplicates are surprisingly common.

I don't think I ever saw a Tower Guardian outside their control pod myself. [Amused smirk] And I'd definitely remember getting chased by someone like you. [Indicates Dumont's decidedly large and feline body.]

[A rumbling chuckle.]

I suppose I am somewhat memorable. Very well. As long as you don't cause trouble, I accept bygones will be bygones.

[He will be keeping an eye on you nevertheless. He wouldn't be a very good Guardian if he didn't.]

[Fair enough. Not like he could really cause any trouble in this place anyway.]

Well, I can't really promise not to cause any trouble. [mischievous grin]

But yeah, I try to keep it on the harmless end of things. Unlike some programs- who shall remain nameless-, I'm not glitched enough to do any kind of serious harm to the system I live in.

[Fair enough, program. Dumont gives you one last fish-eye look before nodding in satisfaction.]

Glad to hear it, my boy. The system has enough trouble these cycles, it seems.

True enough. Both in the old system and this one, unfortunately.

[An agreeing rumble, and then Dumont uncoils, arching his rump as he stretches his forelimbs with a yawn. Rising to all fours, his head comes up to Clu's chest, ignoring the domed headdress and bulk of his armour. He would easily tower over the hacker were he to stand on his hind legs. For now, he simply smiles, hundreds of pounds of well-coded guardian hidden behind a gentle nature.]

I believe I shall take a stroll around the domain. There are far too few programs brave enough to approach me, it seems, so I shall have to take the initiative.
