February Plot-With Me Post

Now that we know who’s around, what the event is, and what the game looks like for now, everybody get in here and plot!

Grid_lined plot-with-me posts will happen monthly from now on, and will replace the monthly plotplurk memes that folks have been using (since it’s difficult to find them again or keep track of so many different plurks). You can plot specifically for the storm event in that post or here, but this post is for February plots in general.

Spark's already in a thread with Ram that involves the storm, is that going to go in any particular direction? That thread's already starting to remind me of the time I was in Houston in '01 during the floods. I walked out of a restaurant when it started raining, and by the time I got to the car about 50 feet away, the water was up to my ankles.

Good question! I'd imagined that post to be set during a heavy but fairly ordinary rainfall a day or so before the actual event storm (because I was beginning to have the storm event in mind by that time, but didn't want to let the cat out of the bag yet XD). Where the thread should go... hmm, let's see. You mentioned Spark has been trying to get over fear of crowds. Is there anywhere she needs to go for some reason but has been avoiding it because of crowds? Maybe Ram could go with her for a little moral support.

Well, the type of crowds I was thinking of were ones like you'd find at the EOL club. Which is why joining the staff night post would have been way out of character for her. I had an idea that for a job she might offer to join the group who scout the area around Tron City; since seeking out anomalies in the Outlands was her original directive, and Flynn reconfigured her into a spy/scout after the coup, becoming someone who patrols the borderland area would fall directly into her skill set. But she doesn't really know where to apply for that. Maybe Ram could help with that? And once Spark's ankle is fixed up, she could volunteer for one of the rescue squads.

Aah, I see. \o/ Scouting would be a cool job. One thing I mentioned was that a what's-your-character's-day-job post is going to happen, so people can come up with ways for their characters to work together.

At first I thought that she might be a guide for programs that wanted to cross the Outlands to other cities, but then I figured that not to many would be doing that. So I came up with this idea. Maybe after the storm, Ram can show Spark where to go sign up for that sort of thing?

Where about does Spark live? Heavily populated or less populated area? Will probably drop 0rca in her thread later today but need to know how far out he's gone from his starting point. Cause you know... He could just as easily be lost. XD

Spark lives in one of the smaller residence areas near the edge of the city. There are only 4 other programs(3 NPCs and Beck{amplifying}) staying in her area at the moment, so it would count as a 'less populated' area.
