Aaaalright. As we've probably all noticed, LJ decided to enact it's broken-as-fuck changes to the commenting system.

I figured I'd just make a default/dummy thread here so we can all get the hang of the new system. >:/ Guess since we're stuck with it, we should learn how to make the best of it, eh?

Flat | Top-Level Comments Only

..it works in Ram's journal style, but only there: if I switch back to the normal style, my ~subject lines~ look like I just wrote something in bold at the top of my tag.

And unless I'm mistaken, you have to pay for LJ to view things in your own style.

Somebody please tell me I'm wrong about that. x_______X

Getting to chuckle at cranky irritated Ram is the one bright spot about this situation.~

Same. I'm not even sure how to make a subject line apprear in the new style. *doesn't have a paid account *

From my understanding, they were trying to get rid of them completely.

So it seems. IDEK WHY they'd want to do this. WHAT IS SO OFFENSIVE ABOUT SUBJECT LINES LJ, HMMM?

It's been my experience that a big-business's favorite passtime is fixing things that aren't broken. >B\
