Hiyo! I'm a new player planning on bringing in a new pup in the near future and wanted to introduce myself. I'm
tehkittykat. I saw what you guys were doing over on
dear_mun and followed a pup's profile over here. This place looks pretty awesome and I'm looking forward to getting a chance to try out the sandbox.
I thought that the generation gap between Users in the system was kind of interesting (Kevin Flynn completely missed THE INTERNET.) and I'm still kind of catching up on canon, so I made an OC programmer named Livian. She's a member of Generation Internets who has no idea that the Grid exists outside of an old video game and is trying to land a job, possibly at ENCOM, possibly writing video games though at this stage she's willing to settle for generic code monkey just to get a paycheck. I thought the whole dynamic of dropping someone into the situation who has absolutely zero idea of what's up might be interesting.
I'm torn about if/when to bring Livian over to the Grid-- digitizing lasers aren't that common and it might be fun to play out rather than handwave it in an intro. Help? Thoughts?
