 Welp, another Clu2 appears. Um. But, I can't guarantee how often I'll post because I haven't rped in a long time and I feel really self-conscious about being compared to another Clu (or really any mun who has a pup that I also rp) in regards to quality.

But I've been looking around the comm and the players here have me super excite.

Yeah man. I always look at him and just. He fucking loved Flynn man, and he really felt betrayed by him because Flynn said "Together" and I could just continue on for a while about this, but you know? Even in the end, the user worship he had was just so clear, in his voice, his actions, all of it.

Re self-consciousness, I can say that playing with any version of any character, I take it as things come, so you shouldn't worry about comparing. Every writer has a different take on a canon muse, so, ROCK ON!

Aws! In which case I'm putting out here that whatever rejection may happen in-play, from Flynn or from my other muses - because they are so tangled up, there probably will be some - it will be characters dealing with characters and none addressed at you, the player. (Keeping that in mind, especially when a muse is easy to relate to, sometimes makes the difference between playing with difficult and enjoying the game. I've noticed from my own experience. ;) ) Anyhoo! hope you have oodles of fun around! Even if it occasionally is the angsty kind of fun.

haha, I actually, my Clu2 with a friend's Clu1, uh. Clu2 is like a manipulative pimp and whatnot and is playing Clu1 soooo hard. It's kind of funny. All the indirect truths and lies about the new Grid and Flynn and Tron.

I'm just going to get it out of the way right now and say that against poor Tron's better judgment, it would actually be effing amazing if all the Clu2s, loyal Rinzlers, and Clu-followers did decide to team up and create an army to wreak havoc on the new Grid. Though Tron will feel mighty disappoint if the Rinzler in his first thread in this Grid decides to rejoin Clu, after he's proven himself to be at least neutral. He finally started to think you could be his bro, bro!

At face value, Clu's this cocky, dark, corrupted program that wanted to get Flynn out of the way for his own means, but there's so much mooooore. Flynn was supposed to be there for him and the programs, you know? He said "together." And Clu thought he meant it. anyway~ Clu makes me feel all the emotions. But yesss. Seriously. At first I was like "You villains are gonna get ROLLED! OAO Are you NUTS???" And then I was like "...Wait...we're getting a lot of people playing the other side...this could be ba-...this could be epic...!!!!!!!" XD

Yeah, he's got a lot about him that you should hate him for. He's cocky and conniving, he's underhanded, he's a GENIUS who's putting his brain to BAD USE, and he's in a lot of ways so very hateful! But I can't help but love him despite all those things. Which probably has to do partly with the way Jeff (and his body double, can't remember his name) played him, true. Jeff is honestly one of my favorite actors EVER, and constantly fills me with the urge to GLOMPSQUEEZE! *3* But I know another part of it really is just because when you get right down to it, you start to see that he really is just like Flynn's neglected son, he feels the same way about Flynn's absence as Sam did, and while Sam's a User and can grow and move past his original "function," Clu can't. He was told he had to create the perfect system, and that's what he's been trying to do, all this time! He's doing it for Flynn, but Flynn can't see how hard he's trying, he's just seeing the bad things he did, and WHY DON'T YOU UNDERSTAND??? THIS IS WHAT YOU WANTED!!! I'M ONLY TRYING TO HELP!!! TTATT

Even the fact that he didn't kill Tron seems more like an attempt to not displease his User. Yes, part of it was because it was an ultimate irony, I think. Maybe a snub of the nose to Tron and Flynn for turning against the plan. But he was rectifying him and making him the perfect enforcer, and making it so he fit in with this grand, perfect system Clu had created for Flynn. He was fixing him and making it so he didn't have to worry about what others thought the right action was, he would just do it. Without thought, there's just instinct and action, and action was what Clu needed him to do.

Delighted to see a Clu who's willing to get into the complexities of his personality!

I actually have a lot of sympathy for some of Clu's goals, but Yori-in-my-head is bitterly, murderously angry with any and every version of him. Not so much about the betraying-Flynn thing, that was somewhat understandable, Flynn needed some sense knocked into him. What she's most upset about is the way Clu decided programs were only worth allowing to survive if they agreed with him on every count forever. Specifically, of course, repurposing Tron. (Also Yori, in her own Grid's history, but she doesn't mention that if she can help it.)

Yeah, so, fair warning, Yori's probably going to try to kill your character if she has half an opportunity. It's hard to think of an encounter where she wouldn't try. Or at the least go off on a very long lecture about his logic faults, why does he insist on being as stubborn as Flynn, he's failing his own programs and etc. Though I don't know if there ever was a Yori on your Clu's version of the Grid.

Naw, my Clu-muse didn't have a Yori, but that's certainly an interesting element. Hmmm~.

I haven't made a post of his arrival on this Grid(I should~), but through his Quorra-creepin at the End of Line, I've kind of established in his character that here, he knows that he's a nobody, and he's not no real power or status on this Grid. Of course, not that that will possibly change at any given time (there's talk of the Clu2s, Rinzlers, and other followers teaming up for a take-over). But as of right now, he's approaching Quorra with a rather unbiased and friendly demeanor. So like. You could lecture him but if you tried to kill him, he might not me gusta.
