Independants: Integration and Updates

Name: Kip
Department: Kernal Integration Processing, aka "the Office of Updates and Integration Assistance."
Job Title: Boss; Prime Integrator. (does it count as a title if you're the only one there?)
Kip's Personal Schedule: Kip is on-call every moment ready to be summoned by security or medical personnel, or be summoned to a site himself, to assist in emergencies requiring his function. He tries to be in his office from mid-way through the second millicycle, to mid-way through the third. He's an afternoon-and-evening doctor, and often uses the second half-millicycle to make house-calls once normal programs have come off-shift. He then relaxes and does his own things from mid-3rd to mid-1st, and mid-1st to mid-2nd are for sleeping. Eventually, he will adjust to working a more normal day-hours schedule (such as once Eden starts forcing him to sleep/wake at the same time she does.)

Work environment: Kip is the only program working at his office, and as such, he tries to maintain a comfortable and calming atmosphere within the building. This isn't always easy when dealing with stressed-out programs.

Are they hiring?
Yes, selectively. Kip is aware that he is the only KIP unit on the Grid, at least as far as he knows, and if another were to turn up, he may cling to them and weep for a millicycle in relief. One KIP isn't meant to handle the workload he has, but he manages somehow. Barring a fellow KIP, Kip most needs someone able to perform data organisation, and be able to deal with odd hours and stressed patients; an office assistant, if you will. However, anyone considering application for hire would be strictly scrutinized by security before handling the sensitive personal data in the archives.

What my character can do for you: Kip is an auto-updater or Kernel Integration Processor; one of a group-suite of background programs closely linked to both recompilers and guardians, from a modern-day computer system. He's a problem-solver. If your character is newly rezzed, stressed out, or simply in need of someone to talk a problem through, then Kip is naturally programmed to listen and provide guidance and information, much like a User therapist. He also has contacts among the Users and main system utilities, so is able to act as a neutral party/messenger, if a program were in need of a system update, assistance from a higher power, or other such mediation.

Any other details?
Kip's code is descended from the original integrators, the compilation priests who worked alongside guardians in the old I/O towers. It's why he is often mistaken for a guardian in his formal robes.
