Independents: Intelligence/Counter-intelligence, Misc Security Services

Name:Tron
Department:Independent, formerly co-chief of Security and still has a few ties there
Work environment: Tron can show up anywhere though he avoids the Arena complex like the plague. He sets his own hours, time primarily split between sifting bits of data that might have relevance to intel/counter-intel and making random patrols looking for potential trouble/bailing programs out. He does willingly coordinate with the security office, but refuses to be drawn back into the formal hierarchy after a bad User override that one time and has a bit of a habit of wandering off and doing his own things. Tron's primary function these days is threat detection and deletion (or, much to Tron's dismay, quarantine), particularly in terms of spotting and shutting down things that the regular security patrols would not be able to catch or handle. While Tron makes a good leader and has lots of command experience, he's currently on vehement sabbatical from being in charge of anyone outside of specific, limited emergency situations. Oh, and Tron frequently runs self-defense classes or private lessons to help non-combat programs learn how to protect themselves.
What my character can do for you: If it needs beaten up, rescued, taught how to hit things, or glowered at, Tron is your program. Have a Bad Feeling about a particular bunch of programs? Tron can investigate that. He's basically a purry program version of Batman, only his number is actually in the Grid phone book.
Are they hiring over there?: Someone very insistent and/or crazy might be able to convince Tron to take them on as an apprentice, and if he accumulates enough random apprentices they might just make an irregular security unit. Tron is also for hire as a combat instructor, but the stipulation there is no Arena.
Any other cool details? Tron needs an actual hobby or three. Someone trying to school him in one sounds awesomely hilarious.
