Posting/tagging hiatus
I unfortunately have to hiatus from active threading for a while. Yeah, you saw that coming. What's happening is a combination of work, rl, worrying, unexpected things, and an ever-growing heap of unfinished things, and between them all I'm finding it impossible to thread right now. I should have put this notice up months weeks ago, but was sort of trying to pretend it would all magically not be happening if I didn't say anything, and yyyyyeah, that didn't work. I'm really sorry for keeping you all hanging and not doing this upfront.
I'm also retiring four of my characters: Tesler, Naught, Ko, and Sentry. I love them all individually but ten characters is too many. Hopefully I'll still be able to hold onto the remaining six when I get back.
If you're stuck in a thread with one of my folks, we can decide what happens so your character can move forward with future plotting.
Here's what my characters will be doing while I'm out:
Tesler is dead. He took one risk too many. The tiny power base he'd accumulated will disperse, and the disc-cache hideout is left (boobytrapped but unguarded) to be found again by anyone who wants.
Naught is also dead.... most of the time. As the result of a still-extant fault in the Grid's architecture, she's a recurring glitch and occasionally rerezzes.
Ko and Sentry will continue as NPCs. Ko's weather reports keep coming in from her secret circuit of the weather stations; anyone who knows her can know she's still out there. Sentry (now in blue circuits but not yet unrectified) is still a traffic cop.
Ram has moved. He's not generally giving out his address until the Rinzler situation is resolved, but will still be working at Stats and spending a lot of time with his friends. If your character wants him to be around, he probably is.
Roy will be on the Grid more often than not, though he takes regular breaks to go back to his own world. Those who know him (or Ram) can easily learn whether he's on or off the Grid at any particular time (i.e. whatever's needed for plot reasons).
Allon is still staying with Cantus for as long as that goes on, and will be at the End of Line more often than before.
Wulf, Eckert, and Sati continue with their respective functions: Wulf can be found at his clinic, Eckert at the End of Line, and Sati at Klip's Repair Hangar.
My characters can generally be namedropped at any time. Message me if your character: wants credit for derezzing Tesler, or to find his disc; ran afoul of Naught in a more complicated way than she-glomped-me-on-the-way-to-work-and-I-accidentally-ended-up-in-Bismuth; has borrowed Ram's trampoline during the interim; or wants any of my folks to be involved offscreen in whatever's going on. (The answer will generally be yes.~)
I'll still be online, and can be reached on plurk or via any of my character journals for game-related questions. Carry on, follow The Rules, ask/notify before plotting anything with community-wide repercussions, and above all, have fun.<3
