It was a similar process as those oranges, actually. Much more complicated--but I never would have expected a User to show up like that. The MCP didn't care about risks, of course.

[She does snort in amusement at his pleased assessment of her theft.]

Nothing's ever easy. We made it past the Recognizers on patrol, but there was a surge in the line to the MCP. No junctions close enough. Flynn managed to redirect the energy. It would've derezzed anyone else who tried it like that. I was skeptical of his claims of being a User, but that was impressive anyway.

Unfortunately, dealing with the surge delayed us. Sark took a different route in his command ship and caught up just as we were crossing out of the Sea.

[The sound as the Sailer shattered, the crushing utter despair as she watched Tron fall away--Yori won't ever forget that. Even if new memories are more painful now, the old ones stay vivid.]
