Mirror!Rinzler will be joining the combats. Good odds on him needing repair at some point, since despite all his Clu could do, he's still a somewhat easier target just by virtue of this guy wrote him. Pre-fight code workthrough should more or less stop Alan actually overriding him, though attempts could definitely be a thing.
Where pre-fight IC plotting is concerned, he'll help plan and probably share some general tactics with the people involved. (Things like: don't stay still on coded ground, keep them away from power sources, make sure to always have at least two or three distractions in play so they can't focus and take down a target.) While his personal track record with Alan's less than great, he ran Security in his own system, and specifically trained his people to fight users (Flynn). Alan is a whole new level of scary, but this isn't a completely unfamiliar combat scenario to him.
