Because I'm lame and don't have AIM/plurk yet! X3 This is primarily for the muns of Tron tronja307020, Lizor disc_warrior, and Anon voiceless_anon, but anybody can comment who wants to. :3

OK! You all may or may not be aware, depending ont what threads you've been reading, that Clu's been planning a hacker-type mission to hunt down a few of the hostile Rinzlers' weapons caches. Flynn creator_man has already been told about and approved the plan ICly, but made Clu promise that he wouldn't go alone.

Which of course, is where Tron, Lizor, and Anon come in. Who else is Clu gonna call in for potentially dangerous work than the only three security programs he really knows? :3

But I'm rather stuck on how to have him approach them. Should he seek them out individually and tell them about the plan? Or just send a message to all three with the details, asking if they want in? And would Anon really have time to join in on the main part of such a hunt, or would he more likely be just be in on it so security knows what's up, and can take care of it if/when they find something?

So what do you guys think? Any ideas?  Thoughts? Either about this or about the 'mission' itself? :3 Just trying to get the lightcycle rolling, as I figure this mini-plot will be a good way to kill some time until the big kidnapping plot can happen. :3

But yes, Tron will be so very much in agreement with going with Clu for this mission. He wouldn't want Clu going by himself, anyway! He's seen what tiny!Rinzler can do, hell, he fought him! If he finds out Clu went without him, he would be so worried and OMG NO CLU DON'T GO! TTnTT!

With Tron, probably a direct communication would be better then a "sends u a message khi thar" type thing. I think he prefers face-to-face communication for some reason. He seems more like a direct person, honestly.

And...you know...Alan would totally be involved if he were asked...8| Just sayin'. He wants to UNREPROGRAM ALL THE THINGS!

*nods and makes note* M'kay. We'll have them meet in person someplace, then, and Clu can bring it up. Maybe with the excuse of Clu wanting to do a bit of disc training/practice? I'm gonna have him start learning it in the thread with the twins, but he'd definately be interested in getting a few tips from Tron as well. :3

Yeah, I figure Clu would just be all gone if he was going to try a solo mission. And then Tron would find out about it later and "whaaaaat?????" XD

Works for me. :D And Tron will totally be up to teaching him disky things. hehehe On a side note, the easiest way to get in touch with Tron is actually at his apt. He spends a bit more time away from home, doing patrols and things now, but it's usually 'cause he just gets restless sitting around doing nothing, and still doesn't feel comfortable enough doing anything official. >_>

Well, I have no plans, currently, for them to actually run into any of the Rinzlers on this little side trip, so anybody getting hurt is unlikely. But if one of the Rinzlers really wants to join in, I can't make any promises. X3

If you make it an overall security thing, this Tron here will most likely know/want to know about it. If you want to make it more of a private endeavor with those three (as in going behind this admin/security's back) then you could say that they set it up "off-screen" if you'd like, then just start a log with them going to do said hunt. Or have him send a message, however you want to do it.

(Just FYI, this Tron probably wouldn't have time to join on the actual "mission," but he'd want to be in the loop of what's going on, IC-ly. If he's left out, he'll be upset... which could work plot-wise too, if we want to go that way. However you want to work it.)

Hmm... Well, Clu's totally cool with it if Anon, Flynn, the other Tron that's involved, or anybody else who knows telling Admin!Tron about it, and will tell them so if they ask him about it. But he wouldn't tell Admin!Tron himself. Both because he's still somewhat "Eeeeeeh... >_>" about dealing with Trons he doesn't know, and because it just wouldn't occur to him. He's worked outside the heirarchy of the System for so long, that he wouldn't think about needing anybody's permission (except his User's, of course) to do what he feels needs doing.

The only reason anybody knows about this, is that Clu wanted to get Flynn's approval first, and Flynn told him not to go alone. Otherwise, the result would've most likely been some security programs waking up to a message saying 'check out these places, there's important stuff there', and nobody knowing how the heck anybody found these things. Because that's how hackers roll! X3

So we'll see what everybody else wants to do, then go from there. :3

Perfectly understandable why Clu wouldn't tell him directly, then. If someone else wants to pass the message along, that's cool. If not, Tron will probably have the IC reaction of "WHY DID NO ONE TELL ME" which is OOC-ly fine by me too. He likes to know what's going on security-wise in the system, especially if it involves the Rinzlers.

Heee, sounds awesome! Anon may or may not have time to be in on the missions, but I think he'll try. I'm planning on, quietly, having him run short on recharge time. The effects will take a while to accumulate, given that he can go three millicycles without needing a rest (seriously, the poor boy never even sat down in Evolution, unless it was on a lightcycle or he was unconscious), but it will catch up with him. Probably at an awkward time.

So, yeah. Anon's in, and he'll inform Tron because it wouldn't occur to him to do otherwise. (It's good to have Admin!Tron back.)

Heh, Anon running short on recharge time should be interesting. X3 Though now I've got Clu in my head going, "Heh, I used to do the same thing, man. X3", to both things (running short of recharge time and staying up for millicycles on end). Apparently Flynn builds his programs for endurance... maybe a bit too much. X3

But yay! Admin!Tron will know. :3 And it is indeed good to have him back! ^_^

Agreed. Well, Anon's going to get one eventually through falling over unconscious, but that isn't much help in the lead-up.

Anon will obey if a User tells him or if Tron says, but there aren't many more programs that he'd listen to. He protects them - it doesn't compute that they might be trying to help him.

Given my hiatus, I'm out, though this plot sounds like it will be a lot of fun! If you want, (and in no way am I saying you need to/should) but you totally can have godmod rights to Bit, if it will help anything.

If there is pixel bashing LI IS ALL OVER IT!!!

However if there's lots of non-combative hacking, Kweri might even be up for the task. She's written to be able to handle that sort of thing with her high processing speed. Lizor could be someone to stand guard or to patrol surrounding areas to make sure they don't get ambushed.

There is... the possibility of both? X3 Clu's not anticipating trouble, but knows it's very possible, and thus wants his three favorite security programs watching his back. So yes, patroling, standing guard, knowing better what to actually do with anything they might find, that's pretty much why the three of them are along. I'm sure we could arrange some trouble, if you really wanted, though. ;)

And as much as I totally want to have Clu meet Kweri sometime (there will be total big brotherness there :3), Clu would very much like me to point out that he doesn't NEED help with the hacking part, thank you very much. X3

Anyway, if you don't mind, I'm gonna have Clu show up later today in that conveniently timed EoL thread Castor-mun just posted, so he can run into Lizor there and put the idea to him. That sound OK? :3
