Forced hiatus and taking icon requests

Wow. Everyone is taking a hiatus right now. TIME FOR ME TO JUMP ON THAT BAND WAGON. ...okay, not really. My home internet is acting up and not letting me log on. I've been in contact with the provider and after a couple rounds of trouble shooting we are still no closer to finding out why the system isn't letting me in. The provider is placing a ticket with the server to see if they know what's going on, so I don't really know how long I will be without service. Sorry guys. :(

On that note, since I will have plenty of free time at home now, I am thinking of getting back into the business of taking screencaps and making icons. While they won't be anything super fancy I was wondering if anyone would like me to icon certain characters or scenes from either of the Tron movies. I can't promise that I will be able to make many of them since both movies are dark, and my computer likes to eat darker images, but I will give it the old college try! You can find examples of my icons here. If you are interested in taking me up on the offer just drop me a line here and I'll make note of it the next time I am able to weasel my way onto a library computer. It'll give me something to do at home while I am waiting for an update from my provider.

Glad you're back! :) I love library computers, but nothing compares to your own connection.

(I'd have asked for icons, but I don't actually want to use Yori's old Encom pics, given the vast difference in behavior from my theoretical modern one. And I'm not artistic enough to update her properly. Ah well.)

Thanks! :D Oh man, library computers can be a pain. My local library's internet has been shoddy at best ever since the building got struck by lighting a while back. Plus you only get half an hour at a time on their computers.

(I have some pictures of her from the production gallery that aren't from the movie itself where the actress is sans helmet. If you want I can icon them up for you to look at once LJ feels like playing nice and showing the pictures I upload to icon.)

Sure, I'd love to see what you could do with those! My default (well, almost my only) icon is from a photo like that, but I didn't have much luck finding other pics.

Heh, my local library is something of a home away from home for me. I just go there for the books, not so much the internet. XD

I have four of them I believe. I've already screencapped the galleries on the second disc of the special edition Tron DVD so now it is just a waiting game to see how long it takes LJ to straighten out and let me work. *headdesk*

Thanks! It was a very pleasant surprise to find it working again last night let me tell you. I wasn't expecting it to be up before today at earliest. ^_^

Thank you! I've only been making them for about a year now, ever since I found out that my DVD program allows me to take screencaps instead of hitting the Print Scrn key. My poor hard drive has over 2000 screencaps sitting on it right now haha.
